Acorn Biologists Are Prepared for the 2026 Field Season

  • February 25, 2026

In 2025, two additional Acorn biologists completed formal wetland delineation training through the Wetland Training Institute. This program satisfies the training specifications established by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and aligns with certification standards recognized in multiple states.

With these additions, Acorn has expanded its internal capacity to conduct jurisdictional wetland delineations across a broader geographic range while maintaining technical consistency and regulatory defensibility. From vernal pools in California to peat-forming bogs in Wisconsin, our team is equipped to identify and document wetlands in accordance with federal and applicable state methodologies.

Delineation, Reporting, and Permitting Support

Where impacts to aquatic resources are unavoidable, we assist clients through the full compliance pathway—from delineation and technical report preparation to agency coordination and permit acquisition.

Whether a project qualifies for coverage under a Nationwide Permit or requires an Individual Permit, our team has experience supporting linear infrastructure, utility corridors, and large-scale development projects.

To date, Acorn has supported delineation and permitting efforts in California, Idaho, Utah, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Texas, Washington, and beyond.

We look forward to continuing to support our clients with defensible delineations and practical regulatory solutions throughout the 2026 field season.
